Client Gifts || Tips & Tricks For Your Business

Let’s talk about client gifts.

How often do you give client gifts? -after being booked, during the holidays, on the client’s anniversary? Should you use a service for your client gifts like shopboxfox or Marigold & Grey? Should you customize each client gift? How much should you spend on the client gifts? Are client gifts even important / worth the investment?

These are all questions that might come up when you are thinking about client gifts. It can get overwhelming! First things first, there is no wrong way to go about it. Ultimately your client gifts should represent your brand and you should be proud of what you are giving to your client.

-The frequency is dependent on your brand, resources, and what you want your focus to be. If your CODB covers multiple gifts, great, but if it only covers one, that’s great too!

-Some people outsource this and use a gifting company (I love Marigold & Grey’s style!!), others put it together themselves, by using other vendors items, or simply ordering online. -Customizing your gifts can be very special for the client, but it can also be time consuming & more of an investment for each individual gift.

-The amount of money you invest in your client gifts shouldn’t take away from your overall profit, but it is important that the gift leaves a good impression on your client. If you aren’t at a point where you can invest a lot, even a simple, hand written note can go a long way.

-Client gifts are a great way to show your client you appreciate their support of your business. It is a way to remind them that they made an investment in a valuable business, and you are excited to work with them! If you decide to give them a gift for the holidays, or an anniversary it is a way to pop in and say hello again and may spark more business. Plus, who doesn’t love getting something!

This is what one of my clients said on facebook when she received her gift in the mail: “I just got my mail & was extremely excited to see an envelope from our Wedding Photographer; Katherine Murray. We are so blessed to have such an amazing person photographing our wedding! I can’t thank you enough!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOUUUU!!!”
