Things have been busy around here, but not too busy to give you Featured Friday!
Today we are featuring a very special wedding vendor, her name is Gurvinder of Gurvy Travel. She is a travel agent who specializes in Turks and Caicos exclusive resort vacations, which includes Luxury Beach and Sandals resorts. Gurvinder has traveled to Turks and Caicos Island each summer for the past six years, so her knowledge of the island is extensive, and she has wonderful relationships with the resort managers. This is extremely helpful for couple’s who are planning their honeymoon or a destination wedding.
When I asked Gurvinder what inspired her to start her business she answered: “Gurvy Travel was born through my love for travel and especially for the Turks and Caicos Islands. Turks and Caicos became a summer destination replacing summer camp for my three children. We enjoy the sun, sea, and sand for a month each summer and have adopted it as our second home. I wanted to share the island with others and becoming a Travel Agent was the ideal way to share the love. It’s the perfect Honeymoon or Destination Wedding island with gorgeous views and accommodations. Beaches and Sandals resorts boast amazing Wedding and Honeymoon packages and were a compliment to my business venture. ”
When I asked Gurvinder what she did in her non-working hours her response was centered around food, friends and family. She loves going out to eat with friends and family, and also enjoys a nice glass of wine.
Gurvy Travel is based in Bethesda, Maryland. A large portion of their business is done over the phone, although Gurvinder likes to connect with her brides in person when its feasible.
