For as long as I can remember my family takes a week vacation at Rockaway Beach, Oregon each year in August. We had been going to the same cabin every year; I have many treasured memories there. The memories range from playing cards, cutting avocados (Yes, I have a specific memory of this), Philip proposing, and our honeymoon. Earlier this year the couple we rented the cabin from sold it! So, my dad found another cabin in a nearby area. Manzanita, Oregon. It’s along the coast only a few miles away from Rockaway. It was different, but the cabin was cute and we had a great time.
I am happy for the new memories we have made there, and excited for even more.
